Ode to a Secret Pal

Oh Secret Pal O Mine How your gifts make me swoon Sometimes I sneak out of work to get them When they're expected; often around noon Your taste and style is just awesome And I love how you know me so well It's amazing to have you as my secret pal My friends all think you're just swell Each month is filled with anticipation To see what goodies you have in store I don't mean to seem so damn greedy But all I think is, please send me more I bet we're alike in many ways Hopefully one day we'll meet If not in the States, then perhaps In China, on some random street So I just wanted to say thank you friend For making this wait bearable and sweet I hope someone is as kind to you as you are Cause as secret pals go, you just can't be beat! (camera is charging....pics to follow of my awesome gifts received today)

That poem should yield you many more cool pal goodies:)

It's not about yielding more goods, it's about the LOVE! (giggles)

Nice to see you back, I wasn't hitting the refresh button...I thought you had decided not to blog anymore :)

the books are from China Sprout, one is the chinese version of Cinderella, far far older than the 'english' version and neat too. The other book is in pinyin and in english, couldn't resist, lots of books like this on CHinasprout.com, they also have Seuss books in dual language too.

Monday the Bullfrog... knowing lisa's 'thing' for frogs, I couldn't resist. We have one too.

Lisa - thanks so much for your very very kind poem, touched me and made me smile. Read it to my husband with a bit of a knot in my throat... thank you.

You are an awesome person and have taught me so much, I think honestly that I get more out of this relationship than I give, seriously.

Just when I think it's safe.....SP lurks!(laughs) I'm glad you saw my entry. I'm not much of a poet but your thoughtfulness and extraordinary generosity has inspired me to be thankful and a little silly. I LOVE all my goodiesl every thing you EVER sent me. Now for a little reveal...I do like frogs but the name actually came from being single and not finding my prince. Hence I've kissed too many damn frogs. However, everytime I look at one of my froggy gifts I think of you. I actually do have a few more in my house but they were purchased merely for being cute. Now next month SP, maybe you couls rustle up a prince for me. Let's say about 6 foot plus, dark hair and teddy bear build. Thanks!!!

Ah Lisa,

Frogkisser, I can appreciate this. My girlfriend and I traded many a frog item, every year, in honor of all the frogs we dated... they were plentiful that's for sure. So I can totally understand.

As for a prince, hmmm, what's the swap $ limit? lol! I would love to give all my single friends a prince, at least the ones who want a prince! But I can tell you how wonderful it is to see such beautiful, balanced, happy, AND single women.

There were times I wasn't so well balanced, so I honor all the frogkissers in my life, you are among them.

Keep right on keeping on, you are wonderful as you are!

(PS, for the record, my favorite gift to you so far was the card I sent you last month... meant a lot to 'get it right')

Look SP, just make sure you keep yourself anonymous. LOL People are going to laugh at our exchange of sorts here. I loved your card last month. Actually there is nothing you have sent me that hasn't made me absolutely giddy. I bought a pretty small scrapbook where I have all your cards and notes. It gives me much joy to save these beautiful notes so I can share them with my daughter someday. Frogmom (my mom)comes over when I get a package and we swoon together. She thinks you're mighty special too. As for being single, I am content although I miss having someone special in my life. I figure my daughter will be the best LTR of all time and if someone else happens along he'll have to want us both.

Hey woman, I can't email you from work, but wondered what LTR means- I am SO anxious about December 18th and SO glad we're finally entering the month of December! I'm 39 in 12 days, holy poop!

I'll catch up with you when I get home tonight.
XO
