Down and Out aka The Mask

It was only a matter of time before we got hit with some funky illness. My little Empress has either German Measles which would be strictly reactive and not contagious from the Rubella vaccine or she has Fifths Disease. She doesn't fit the profile 100% for either but in any case we're home for the next few days. Her personality hasn't been affected too much though she was up 1/2 the night scratching and being uncomfortable. Poor thing just crashed from exhaustion and mommy is right behind her. I think she may have to get one of her Hanukkah presents later just to cheer her up. Yesterday she decided she wanted pigtails for the first time but ONLY if mommy had them first. If you happened upon a 38 year old chubby woman in piggies wandering the streets of NY, yes that was me. I'm not fond of the multiple chins here but it was a photo that couldn't be passed over.

Bummer about being sick. Poor kid. The flipside is, she looks GREAT with her pigtails (as do you!) Sometimes it's fun to just do something silly. :)

Try Calamine Lotion (yep the pink stuff) worked really great on K - when she had the unknown welts...

Also, the pigtails - these are the memories/stories that will follow you your whole life - and always bring a smile.
The joy of children!
Carol in FL - where it was like 80 today!
