Emme loves the playground. She loves to climb up the slide 100 times and yell "WEEEEEE". Yesterday we bundled up a little since it was chilly and headed over. We met another mom with 2 children and they played very nicely together so we exchanged numbers to get together again with the kiddos. What I didn't know is that Emme would want me to join her on the slide. So up I climbed 15-20 times to go down the slide with my girl. Each time, she yelled "WEEEEEEE MOMMY". It was so very sweet. My bones creak and I told her I was getting old for this and she chuckled like she understood. I can't think about how different life would have been 7 1/2 years ago, before I lost over 100 pounds. Would I have even adopted? Would I have felt cheated if I couldn't climb up and down with her and in fact slide down? Absolutely. Part of what I love most about being her mom is the joy of the experiences we share. Yesterday we bought her little roller skates to try one day. I'm going to dig out mine and away we go. A few pics of my precious girl who this morning told me it wasn't cold and she didn't need her hat.
